Hello again!
This week will be about Wix and
Weebly. These sites are for anyone without a computer background to start a
website. These website builders are quick, simple, and easy to use.
My favorite so far was Weebly
and that was because I think it is user friendly, while Wix is great for creativity
purposes. It was confusing on my part to figure out Wix’s options. The layout
and choices for Wix was a lot more diverse than Weebly. I noticed that Weebly’s
choices were lacking in the creative side, compared to Wix.
Also, even though I was still
struggling with Weebly, I still consider it the easiest. I only say struggle because
I had found an easier way to edit and finally understood what the tabs meant
but only at the end of the class. By the time I had realize my mistake of
wasting time, I had to move on to Wix. So I think that if I had known the
shortcuts at the beginning, my Weebly experience would look better.
Also, here are some pros and
cons about Wix. Since my hour trail with Wix is not enough to describe to describe
to y’all, so this video should suffice.
Let’s change topics! Now for my
websites, I was thinking about adding a podcast since one of our assignments in
Comm 350 is a podcast. I figure might as well use it to spice up my website.
This week, we dabbled a little bit with the program Audacity. I thought it was
funny since it reminded me of Audible, another website that has a play on the
word audio. While I learned the simple effects in class, I did not get to learn
how to auto tune my voice. This video explains how to make your voice sound
like T-Pain.
Since everything seems to be auto
tuned now, I feel like this could add character to my group’s podcast. Also I feel
like auto tune makes anyone sound like a singer.
Also, if y’all do not know what
Audacity is, click on it.
Download it! It has options for
a Mac and a PC. Also, do not ask me which one you should download. I went with
the biggest size, but that is just me.
